Hello Chivers,
John here, just wanted to tell you the story of how we came to be on a remote beach in Guanacaste Province in Costa Rica.
It began in Key West. During last year’s Christmas photoshoot we’d end everyday with a cooler of Imperial Beers…
And as you can see I took a shine to Imperial Beer. Pura Vida! So one night we had a LOT of Imperial Beers and got on Airbnb. It didn’t occur to us until the following afternoon that we’d booked a casita 4,923 miles away in Costa Rica. Because beer.
And that’s why I still love theCHIVE today as much as I did when I started it all – because we made a choice to never grow up, do stupid shit, and make a living out of it. I’m proud of that. My parents don’t really know what to make of it. I think Dad’s pretty proud.
